Launch of CryptoNext Security, a spin-off from INRIA and the Sorbonne University, led by Jean-Charles Faugère after more than 20 years of academic research.

First round of funding with Quantonation Venture

Gartner recognizes CryptoNext Security as one of the top 5 global players in PQC.

Awarded the Innovation Prize at the Assises de la Cybersécurité in Monaco. First European company selected by the NCCoE (NIST) as part of its initiative entitled, “Migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography.” Secured the very first post-quantum encrypted diplomatic telegram between Paris and Washington, DC.

New funding round totaling €13M with the joint participation of Quantonation, Axa Venture Partners, Auriga Cyber Ventures, and Kensho. Deployment of a secure post-quantum instant messaging system for NATO as well as a post-quantum IPsec VPN link between the Banque de France and the Bundesbank (BIS).

2024
Named an IDC Innovator, ranking among the five companies recognized as pioneers in post-quantum cryptography. Implementation of a secure post-quantum email messaging system between the Banque de France and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

In March 2025, became the first company in the European Union to receive CAVP certification from NIST for all three standardized algorithms. Launch of COMPASS Discovery, the first open cryptographic discovery platform.
