R&D Cryptography Software Integration Engineer

Goal is to develop easy to use, innovative, certified, secured with efficient implementation software products for Post-Quantum Cryptography remediation. To that end, we are looking for cryptography software integration engineer.

About the Position

CryptoNext Security is seeking highly motivated and skilled Research and Development engineers for cryptography software integration to join its team focused on post-quantum cryptography. This job is a unique opportunity to participate to the adventure of a fast-growing and globally recognized startup, and to join a high-level technical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, and cybersecurity with a passion for pushing the boundaries of what is currently possible in the field.

Principal Duties & Responsabilities

The objective of the R&D team is to develop easy to use, innovative, certified, secured with efficient implementation software products for Post-Quantum Cryptography remediation.

According to its profile and the product roadmap, the Research and Development engineer, for cryptography software integration takes in charge various responsibilities and duties:

  • Integration of CryptoNext Quantum Safe Library with various other solutions.
  • Implementation of communication protocols and cryptographic objects (TLS, IPSEC, PKCS#11, X.509...) in post-quantum or hybrid post-quantum mode and integration with various cryptographic tools (OpenSSL, BouncyCastle...)
  • Integration of CryptoNext software with various cybersecurity solutions (VPN, HSM, PKI, digital signature, blockchain...), enterprise communication solutions, specific business apps...
  • Testing and validation integrations to ensure their security and performance
  • Writing of technical documentation to support integration, certification, support and maintenance needs.

CryptoNext software solutions are produced with several computer languages: mainly C, and also Java, RUST, Assembler and for various operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android...) and processors (Intel, Arm, PowerPC, ...).

Required Knowledge & Skills

Experience & Qualifications

5+ years of individual experience in the related fields with as a minimum a significant experience in a software company / department in a large corporation in the context of a cybersecurity vendor, IT application or hardware provider, ideally with international teams or clients.

Qualifications and experiences:

  • Engineer or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience and strong background with programming languages such as C, or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good French & English communication both oral & writing skills.

Background and experience appreciated:

  • Experience in cryptography, with cryptographic libraries, protocols, and frameworks such as OpenSSL.
  • Experience in cybersecurity and in the context of hardware / software development of a certified products (FIPS, CC, CSPN..)
